North East Derbyshire Primary Care Network (NED PCN) consists of 4 Practices – The Valleys Medical Partnership (Gosforth/Moss Valley), Killamarsh Medical Practice, Barlborough Medical Practice, and The Springs Healthcare Partnership in Clowne.
We are working together to deliver the COVID-19 Vaccination Programmes.
We have had it confirmed that the first batch of vaccines will be delivered this week.
These will be administered here at The Springs Health Centre, We will be administering the mRNA Pfizer vaccine.
Over the next few working days, we will be contacting eligible patients 80years and above to book in for our first clinics on the 15th, 16th and 17th of January.
You do not need to contact us, we will contact you.
NED PCN Practices are doing all they can to offer an effective vaccine delivery service as quickly and safely as possible.
Vaccination sites and delivery dates are determined by NHS England.
Everyone who is eligible and wants a vaccine will receive one.
There are a few AstraZeneca Oxford Vaccines coming too. These will be used for care home staff and residents initially. We expect the AstraZeneca Oxford Vaccine to become available in greater quantities over the coming days/weeks. This can be stored at normal fridge temperature and does not require a 15 minute observation.
We have also learnt that a third vaccine, the Moderna vaccine has also been approved for use in the UK.
